# Turn on the app in your theme

Switch on Askly in your theme so surveys can show on your online store.

Surveys on your online store only show after you switch on Askly in your theme. You do this once.

1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store → Themes**.
2. On your live theme, select **Customize**.
3. In the theme editor, open **App embeds** (the icon in the left sidebar). Make sure **Askly Customer Surveys** is switched on.
4. Select **Save**.

You only need this for the online store, including surveys placed inside a page. The thank you page, checkout, customer accounts, emails, links, and POS don't use it.
