# Common questions

Short answers to the questions store owners ask most.

<summary>Will a survey slow down my store?</summary>

No. Askly first loads a very small piece of code. The rest only loads when a survey is about to show.

<summary>Can a customer answer the same survey twice?</summary>

Not by default. To ask people again later, open the survey's **Channels**, pick the place, and under **How often** set **Ask the same person again** to 90 or 180 days.

<summary>Do I need to publish again after I change something?</summary>

No. When a survey is **Live**, selecting **Save** updates it on your store within a minute.

<summary>What does "Partial" mean in Responses?</summary>

The customer stopped before the end. If the survey has **Keep unfinished answers** turned off, these are removed after a short while.

<summary>Why don't my colors show on the thank you page?</summary>

Shopify controls the look of checkout, the thank you page, customer accounts, and POS. Your survey colors apply on your online store and survey links.

<summary>Can I give a discount for answering?</summary>

Yes. Create the discount in Shopify, then add its code to the survey's thank-you screen. See [Thank-you screens and discount codes](/askly-customer-surveys/surveys/endings-and-discounts.md).

<summary>What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?</summary>

Your live surveys are paused right away, and your connected apps are disconnected. About 48 hours later, Shopify asks us to delete your store's data, and we delete it. [Export your responses](/askly-customer-surveys/results/responses.md) before you uninstall.

If you reinstall before then, your surveys go live again. Connect your apps again in **Settings → Integrations**.
