Publish your survey

Make a draft survey live, and see what each place still needs.

A new survey starts as a Draft, so customers don't see it until you publish it. Test it first if you like.

  1. Save any changes. Publish shows at the top of the editor only when everything is saved.

Save your changes to reveal the Publish button and launch your draft survey.
  2. Select Publish. A window lists each place the survey will show:

    • Ready — nothing to do.

    • Block added — Askly's block is already on that page.

    • Needs setup — select it to see the steps and a short video, like turning on the app in your theme or adding a block.

Review channel readiness before publishing to see which display locations are ready and which still need an embed or block added.
  3. Follow the steps, then select Publish in the window.

Follow the setup steps in the publish checklist, such as turning on the app embed in your theme editor, before publishing the survey.

If no place is turned on yet, you can't publish. Select Choose channels and turn one on first.

If all channels are off, Askly prompts you to choose and enable at least one channel before you can publish.

Once it's Live, changes you save reach your store within a minute.

After publishing, the survey editor displays a Live status badge and the Publish button disappears.

Next: pause, copy, and delete surveys.
