Enable instant search widget

The Instant Search Widget lets customers see live search results (products, collections, pages, articles, etc.) while typing in the search bar — improving the shopping experience and helping them find what they want faster.

The instant search dropdown widget contains the below data:

  • Queries – keyword suggestions

  • Product suggestions

  • Collection suggestions

  • Blog Posts

  • Pages

Follow the steps below to enable this feature on your store:

✅ Step by step

  1. Open the app from your Shopify admin.

  2. From the left menu, go to Search → Instant Search.

  3. Check the box Enable Instant Search widget.

  4. Click Save.

💡 Once enabled, the widget will automatically show up when customers use your store’s search bar.

⚙️ General configurations

You can further customize the widget in the same settings page:

  • Choose what to show in search results (Products, Collections, Blog Posts, Pages…)

  • Limit the number of results shown

  • Display product price, vendor, etc. if desired
