# Synonyms settings

✨Make it easier for customers to find products - even if they use different terms!\
With **Synonyms**, you can define related keywords so the search results still show relevant products.

***

### 📌 What Are Synonyms?

Synonyms are alternative words that your customers might use to search for the same product.\
For example:

* **"T-shirt"** = **"tee"**, **"shirt"**
* **"Laptop"** = **"notebook"**

When a customer searches for "tee", they’ll also see results for "T-shirt".

***

### 🔄 How It Works

If a user searches for **any** of the words in the group, products that match **any** of the related terms will be shown in the results.

Example:\
If the synonym group is `sneakers, running shoes, trainers`, then a search for **trainers** will also return results for **sneakers** and **running shoes**.
