# Configure Synonyms

### 🛠 How to Add Synonyms

#### ⚡️Step 1 – Open the Synonyms Settings

1. Go to the **Smart Product Filter & Search** app.
2. In the left-hand menu, click **Search** 
3. Go to **Synonyms tab.**

#### ⚡️Step 2 – Add New Synonym Group

1. Click **Add Synonym**.
2. In the **Queries** box, enter all keywords you want to set up.
3. On the **Relationship** dropdown, select a suitable [relationship](https://docs.globo.io/filter/synonyms/relationship-in-synonym-setting) for this keyword.
4. In the **Synonym** box, enter all related keywords that should be treated as synonyms.\
   For example:\
   `t-shirt, tee, shirt`
5. Separate each word with a comma `,`
6. Click **Save**.

#### ⚡️**Step 3** - **Sync product data** in the App Dashboard to update this change

### 🧠 Tips

* Keep your synonym groups relevant and simple.
* Avoid grouping unrelated keywords—it could lead to confusing search results.
