# I Deleted a Menu or an Item by Mistake

Recover a deleted menu or item.

**Deleted an item, block or setting inside a menu?** On **Pro Navigation**, restore an earlier version:

### Open Version history

Open the menu in the editor and click the **Version history** tab (🕘) in the left sidebar.

### Preview an earlier version

Click a version saved before the deletion. It loads into the editor and the live preview. If you have unsaved changes, the app first asks whether to discard them.

### Keep it

Click **Save** to keep that version (the menu as it was before is stored as a new version first, so nothing is lost), then, if the menu is **Active**, click **Publish**. To cancel instead, click **Discard**.

Haven't saved yet? If the deletion isn't saved, discard your unsaved changes instead of saving, and the item comes back.

**Deleted a whole menu?** Contact us as soon as possible — we may be able to restore it as a draft.
