# Changes I Made in Shopify Admin Don't Appear in the Menu

Why product, collection or navigation changes don't show up in the menu.

It depends on what you changed. The menu remembers **which** products, collections, blogs and pages you picked (by their handle, the last part of their URL), but it reads their **details** live from your store.

**Updated automatically** — no action needed:

* Product title, price, compare-at price, image and sold-out status in product blocks.
* Collection title and image in collection blocks.
* The products shown in a **Product list** that uses a collection as its source.
* The posts shown in blog blocks.

**Not updated automatically** — edit the menu, then **Save** and **Publish**:

* **Menu item titles and links** you entered, including items created from a collection or page. Renaming a collection in Shopify doesn't rename the menu item.
* **Changed handles (URLs).** If you change a product's, collection's or page's URL, the menu still points to the old one. Select it again in the item or block.
* **Deleted or unpublished** products, collections or pages. Remove them from the menu.
* **Online Store > Navigation.** App menus aren't linked to your Shopify navigation. A menu created with **Build it for me** copies your navigation once and doesn't sync with it afterwards. Change the items in the app instead.
