# The Menu Doesn't Show (or Shows Incorrectly)

A step-by-step checklist when the menu is missing or looks wrong.

## <mark style="color:blue;">The Menu Doesn't Show</mark>

Check these in order:

### Is the app embed on?

Open **Online Store** > **Themes** > **Customize** > **App embeds** on the **same** theme you're viewing, turn **Mega menu** on and click **Save**. See [Enable App Embed](/globo-mega-menu/basic-knowledge/enable-app-embed.md).

### Is the menu published to that theme?

Open the menu and click **Publish**, then choose the theme you're viewing. Saving alone doesn't update your storefront.

### Wait and refresh

Wait a few minutes after publishing, then hard-refresh the page or open it in a private window.

### Is it hidden by a rule?

Check the menu's schedule, **Market availability** (**Advanced** tab) and item visibility (**Hide on desktop / mobile**, **Hide when logged in**, **Only show when logged in**). ### Is another menu published?

### Try another position method

Switch **Settings** > **Position** to [Replace existing menu](/globo-mega-menu/basic-knowledge/publish-new-menu-to-theme/replace-navigation.md) or [Show menu on this CSS selector](/globo-mega-menu/basic-knowledge/publish-new-menu-to-theme/show-menu-on-this-css-selector.md).
