# Tab Element

The **Tab** element allows you to organize multiple sections of content within a single block using a tabbed layout — perfect for product descriptions, specifications, policies, or additional info.

Tabs help keep the product page clean and easy to navigate, especially when you have a lot of information to show.

***

#### ⚙️ Basic Features:

Each **Tab** contains:

* **Tab Title**: The clickable label at the top of the tab (e.g., "Description", "Shipping", "Care Instructions").
* **Content Area**: This supports:
  * **Text formatting** (like in Paragraph elements)
  * **Images**
  * **Tables**
  * **HTML customizations**

You can add multiple tabs and reorder them as needed.

***

#### 🛠️ Advanced Settings:

* **Conditional Logic**: Show or hide the Tab element based on customer selections or logic rules.
* **HTML Class**: For custom styling using CSS.
* **Column Width**: Adjust the layout width of the Tab block on the page.

#### 💡 Use Cases:

* Separate care instructions, delivery info, and return policies
* Add product-related FAQs

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.globo.io/options/static-option-type/tab-element.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
