# Hide total number of products

Show or hide the total product count displayed above the product grid on collection and search pages.

## What this does

Shows or hides the total product count line above the product grid on collection and search pages — for example, "128 products". Turning it off removes just that line; the grid, sorting, and filters keep working exactly the same, shoppers just won't see the running total.

This is separate from the per-value count shown next to individual filter options (e.g. "Blue (12)") — see [Hide matching product count in filter options](/filters/filter-sidebar-design/hide-matching-product-count-in-filter-options.md) for that setting.

## Steps

1. In the app, go to **Settings > General**.
2. Turn off **Display total product count** to hide it, or on to show it.
3. Click **Save** in the bar at the top of the page.
