# Search for blog posts & pages

Turn on Pages and Blog posts so a search like "return policy" can surface a store page or blog article, not just products.

## What this does

By default, a search checks products, search suggestions, brands, categories, and collections — not your store's pages or blog content. So a shopper searching "return policy" gets no results even if you have a store page titled "Return Policy", because the widget never looks there. Turning on **Pages** and/or **Blog posts** adds those content types to what the instant search widget checks, so that same search would now surface the "Return Policy" page (or a blog post about returns) alongside any product matches.

## Steps

1. In the app, go to **Search > During search**.
2. Under **What appears, in order**, turn on **Pages** and/or **Blog posts**, and set how many of each can appear.
3. Drag the rows to change where they appear relative to Products, Collections, and the other sections — see [During search](/search/during-search.md) for the full list.
