Integrate app to theme
This guide will walk you through the steps to integrate the Smart Product Filter & Search app into your Shopify theme.
Step 1: Create a Backup of Your Theme
Before making any changes, it's essential to back up your current theme to prevent any potential issues.
In your Shopify admin panel, navigate to Online Store > Themes.
Click on the Actions button next to your current theme and select Duplicate.
Shopify will create a copy of your theme, which you can use as a backup.
Step 2: Integrate the App into Your Theme
It's recommended to apply the app to an unpublished theme first to test its functionality before making it live.
Open the Smart Product Filter & Search app from your Shopify admin.
In the app's dashboard, select Theme Setup.
From the dropdown menu labeled Select a theme for applying the filter, choose the theme you want to integrate the app into
Click the Apply Filter button.
After applying the filter, click on the Go to Theme -> App Embed button.
In the Shopify theme editor, enable the Product Filter & Search app embed.
Click Save to finalize the integration.
Step 3: Test the Integration
After integrating the app, it's crucial to test its functionality:
Navigate to a collection page on your storefront.
Ensure that the filter sidebar appears and functions correctly.
Verify that products are filtered as expected when using the filter options.
