If you are new to Upsell then this is a great place to start.

The goal of Upsell is simple, to help you sell more. This is done by creating upsells for your Shopify store.

Next, letโ€™s take a look at the offer types available in GLO Related Products, Upsell.

Homepage Offer

Product page Offer

Collection page Offer

These offers show on the front-end store pages. They should output next to the productโ€™s add to cart button. You can choose from button style and checkbox style. These are passive offers as they require the customer to engage with them.

Cart Upsells

These upsell offers display on the cart page. They require your Shopify store to hit the Cart page before a customer checks out. If you are using a side drawer cart, your theme may have an option to change it to page to take advantage of Dynamic Cart Upsells by SellUp.

Post Purchase Upsell

This offer shows on the Thank You page after a customer has placed an order. It is a great way to quickly secure another order for a tempting offer you may have on your store.

There is plenty more on SellUp in this documentation. The best way to discover SellUp is to simply get your hands dirty and start creating glorious upsell offers for your store!

Why Your Widget Might Not Be Showing

There are several reasons why the widget may not display:

  • The page you add the widget's shortcode in the embed block must be the correct placement of type of page the widget belongs to. For example, the widget is configured for the Product Page must be added on Product template, but not any other places such as the Homepage, Collection Page,...

  • The product you check must match the target product condition configuration in the Settings, so the widget does appear.

  • Make sure that there are related products that meet the conditions youโ€™ve set. For example, if you set the condition to "Same Tag" but no products share with that tag, nothing will display.

  • The related products are out of stock. In the Settings, there is an option to control whether out-of-stock products are shown โ€” you can customize this.

  • The related products have already been added to the cart. Once a product is in the cart, it will no longer be displayed in the widget.
