# App pricing

Compare the Basic and Professional plans, how active products are counted, and why billing differs for Shopify vs Shopify Plus stores.

## What this does

The app has two paid plans — **Basic** and **Professional** — plus a 14-day free trial with full feature access on either plan, no credit card restrictions beyond Shopify's own billing. Both plans can be billed monthly or annually, with a discount for annual billing.

Your monthly price depends on three things:

* **Which plan** you're on — Professional costs more than Basic (see below for why).
* **How many active products** your store has — larger catalogs cost more per month, in steps (see "Choosing your catalog size / price tier" below for why and how this works).
* **Whether your store is on Shopify Plus** — at smaller catalog sizes, Shopify Plus stores pay more than standard Shopify stores (see below for why).

Pricing changes from time to time, so open **Pricing** in the app for your store's exact current rate rather than relying on figures from elsewhere. You can also see all plans on our [pricing page](https://globo.io/smart-product-filter-search).

## Basic vs Professional

Both plans include the full filtering, search, and recommendation feature set — including Shopify Markets & Catalogs support and B2B catalogs & pricing. Professional adds a handful of specific upgrades, which is why it's priced higher than Basic at any given catalog size:

Pricing scales with catalog size (see below) and also differs between standard Shopify and Shopify Plus (see "Shopify Plus vs. non-Plus stores" below). Open **Pricing** in the app to see the exact price for your store's plan, platform, and current product count.

## How active products are counted

* Each product counts as **one** active product, no matter how many variants it has (a shirt with 10 color/size combinations still counts as 1).
* Only products **published to your Online Store sales channel** with a status of **Active** or **Unlisted** count toward your plan's limit — Draft and Archived products don't count, even if they're published to a channel.
* If your store's active product count grows past what your current plan covers, the app's **Pricing** page shows a "Need to upgrade" notice, and you'll need to move to a plan that covers your current count to keep everything syncing normally.

## Choosing your catalog size / price tier

On the **Pricing** page, use the **Choose your product catalog size** slider to see the price for your store's product count — larger catalogs cost more per month, in steps. This is also how you upgrade or downgrade: the app won't let you select a tier below your current active product count.

![Pricing page — catalog size slider and Basic/Professional plan comparison](https://2009335375-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FKmtdB4I84W3J8hc91H4S%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4f9a28c3c30d7e420bd609d12cdca7a1e84fffb0%2Fpricing-plan-comparison.png?alt=media)

Price scales with catalog size because a bigger catalog means more products for the app to index, keep in sync, and serve filtered search and recommendation results for — all of which takes more ongoing work as your product count grows.

## Shopify Plus vs. non-Plus stores

At small and mid-size catalogs, Shopify Plus stores are billed at a higher rate than standard Shopify stores on both the Basic and Professional plans. At larger catalog sizes, the rate is generally the same on both platforms. Open **Pricing** in the app to see the exact rate for your store's plan, platform, and current product count.

Shopify Plus stores cost more to serve at smaller catalog sizes because:

* **Data syncs more often.** Plus stores typically process a much higher volume of orders, so the app has more inventory and product changes to keep in sync to keep filtering and search accurate.
* **Traffic is higher.** Plus stores tend to get significantly more shoppers using search and filters, which means handling many more requests to keep results fast.
* **Support takes more time.** Plus stores are more likely to run additional apps, use heavily customized themes, and combine B2B/B2C storefronts, multi-market, multi-language, multi-currency, and custom metafields setups — all of which take more time to support properly.

If you have questions about your store's specific rate, contact us at <contact@globo.io>.

## How do I cancel or pause my subscription?

Uninstalling the app from **Shopify Admin > Settings > Apps and sales channels** automatically cancels your subscription, with no extra steps needed. See [Disable app from theme](/getting-started/disable-app-from-theme.md) if you just want to temporarily hide the storefront widgets while keeping your configuration and subscription intact.

If you don't need the app right now but want to keep your filter/search setup for later, contact us at <contact@globo.io> instead of uninstalling — we'll temporarily turn off filtering and syncing and cancel your recurring monthly charge, while keeping your settings saved. Come back and pick a plan again whenever you're ready to turn everything back on.

## Can I get a refund if I don't want to use the app anymore?

Yes — the app offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, and if you're charged after your trial ends and decide the app isn't for you, contact us at <contact@globo.io> and we'll refund your most recent billing cycle.
